The raw pots are dipped in water to wash out minerals without using or adding chemicals to seal the surface. The saucers undergo a gentle treatment with a diluted silicone solution. This treatment effectively prevents mold growth and leakage while maintaining the authentic raw appearance and texture.

The color and appearance of the raw planters will vary
due to the natural substances and minerals in the clay as well as where the planter was in the kiln when fired. Likewise, terracotta is a porous material, and evaporation of water through its pores helps the plant breathe, keeping the roots moist, and the temperature regulated. Your planter will change color and get a natural patina which evolves over time.
